Pam Showman, PT, DPT
Pam is native to Cincinnati, but completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Findlay in Health Science. While at Findlay, Pam was an accomplished multi-athlete on the Track and Field team and did Crossfit during each off-season. Pam‘s growing love for sharing a lifestyle of movement shifted her initial focus of Veterinary Medicine to Health Sciences in preparation for attending Physical Therapy school. Pam graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Ohio State University in 2018, and is thankful to be a part of the Mobility Fit team!
Pam thrives when helping people realize their potential and their ability to adapt. While in PT school, Pam started to obtain further education in the realm of athletes and persistent pain management; two areas that she is especially excited to address in the clinic. Before joining the MFit team, Pam completed an advanced internship that focused on pelvic floor rehabilitation of active adults and plans to continue furthering her education in this important avenue.
While she understands the physical demands that competitive sports place on a person, she realizes that there are mental and emotional demands as well, and that these can play an important role in the recovery and training process. Pam is committed to always continuing to learn in order to provide the most effective therapy approach that is tailored to each person.
When not working, Pam enjoys training at a local Crossfit gym and moving in any way possible. In 2017, she had the opportunity to compete on a team at the Crossfit Central Regional. She likes to be outside, go on hikes with her dog, reading, and exploring, whether in her home town or while traveling.
